Nockles/Jones Jazz is an innovative duo comprising two of London’s most dynamic jazz musicians: Jazz Fm award winning trumpeter Dylan Jones and bassist Hamish Nockles Moore. Both artists bring a wealth of experience and a rich tapestry of collaborations to their partnership, blending traditional jazz elements with contemporary influences.
With over a decade of acclaimed international experience each, between them they’ve performed for Quincy Jones at Montreux Jazz Festival, and appeared at Ronnie Scott’s, The Jazz Cafe, Royal Albert Hall, and Blue Note New York.
Their collaborations include artists like Jorja Smith, Loyle Carner, and Ezra Collective, with airplay from Elton John and recognition across the UK jazz scene.
The convergence of Jones’s trumpet artistry and Nockles Moore’s bass mastery has culminated in the formation of Nockles/Jones Jazz. Their duo performances are characterized by a harmonious blend of improvisation and composition, drawing from their extensive backgrounds in both traditional and modern jazz.
Centered around the timeless melodies of the Great American Songbook, Nockles/Jones Jazz adds their own distinct voice to these iconic jazz standards, creating a dynamic and engaging musical experience that resonates with both jazz aficionados and new listeners alike.
